Orangeville Prep’s EJ Horton took flight during the star-studded weekend, displaying his elite athleticism during the TEAM TOWN SPORTS Slam-Dunk Competition.

Horton also filled up the stat sheet on Saturday with 25 PTS, 5 REB, and 2 AST.

The 2025 CWENCH All Canadian Games brought together the best of Canada’s high school basketball talent, showcasing future stars on one of the country's biggest stages. From April 3–5 at Athlete Institute in Orangeville and Humber Polytechnic’s North Campus in Toronto, this NBA-sanctioned event celebrated top-tier competition, thrilling performances, and unforgettable moments.

Friday, April 4: Electrifying Moments at the TEAM TOWN SPORTS Skills Challenge

The TEAM TOWN SPORTS Skills Challenge on April 4th set the tone for the weekend, giving players a chance to display their athleticism, creativity, and sharp shooting. This portion of the event included the Shooting Stars Challenge, 3-Point Shootout, and Slam Dunk Competition.

  • 🏆 Slam Dunk Champion:

    Christopher Kumu soared above the competition, wowing the crowd and judges with his creativity and power.

  • 🏀 3-Point Shootout Champions:

    • Boys: Spencer Ahrens caught fire from beyond the arc, sinking triples with ease.

    • Girls: Maya Foz showcased her range and consistency, claiming the top spot.

These events highlighted not only raw athleticism but also the refined skills these young athletes have honed, preparing them for their next chapter of basketball at the post-secondary level.

Saturday, April 5: An All-Star Showdown at the CWENCH All Canadian All-Star Game

April 5th was game day, with the girls and boys taking centre stage in front of a packed house and a national audience on TSN.

Girls All Canadian Game:

  • MVPs:

    • Jayda Queeley (Team Blue): Delivered a dynamic performance, leading her team with poise and skill.

    • Mildred Dibua (Team White): Matched the energy, contributing on both ends of the floor with hustle and finesse.

Boys All Canadian Game:

  • MVPs:

    • Tristan Beckford (Team Blue): Dominated with athletic finishes, strong defense, and leadership, solidifying his status as a top prospect.

    • Mahliq Guiseppi-Kitson (Team White): Impressed with his versatility, scoring prowess, and defensive intensity.

During his time at York University, Dominato made a significant impact by enhancing the university's athletic programs through strategic athlete recruitment, talent development, and fostering a supportive and high-performing culture. He also spearheaded the hiring of key coaching staff and implemented measures to improve organizational efficiency. His leadership resulted in notable improvements in team performance and elevated the overall student-athlete experience.
